Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies

Melding the scholarly worlds of the academy with the beit midrash, the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies fosters an unprecedented blend of academic rigor, emotional warmth and innovative spirit.

In an atmosphere that places great emphasis on personalized teaching, our student open their minds and hearts to the texts and traditions of our religion and feel the presence of God in their lives. Our courses are taught by a faculty of renowned scholars whose fields of expertise run the gamut: from Bible and textual study; to Jewish history, philosophy, literature, and languages; to pastoral counseling and practical Rabbinics. While we stress the study of Bible and Rabbinics, we supplement our curriculum with classes in related disciplines as well as field work and internships. This integrated approach allows our students to gain exposure to a broad spectrum of ideas and prepares them for the challenges of serving Jewish communities worldwide.
